Stress can cause a major impact on your mental health. It is key to always schedule some time in you day for yourself. To de-stress and to show some attention to that beautiful heart of yours. Ashley Owner of BARE Laser and Skin, give your 5 tips on regaining confidence and loving yourself to live a positive happy life.
1.) Accept yourself for who you are and cherish the life lessons that the universe gives you:
When you accept yourself for who you are and forgive yourself for any mistake “life lessons “you have learned then you will learn to respect yourself deep down to that beautiful heart.
Self love is never selfish, when you love yourself, your happiness, health, and fulfillment in life and your future will be abundant and joyful. Because you realize you cannot genuinely love others if you cannot love yourself.
2.) Trust and Commit to yourself. Do you know who is going to give you what you want??? The answer is YOU.
Do you ever make promises to yourself then break them? Example: I will wake up everyday at 630 am and do yoga then meditate for 45 min everyday.
How often did you break those promises or goals for yourself? When you did, how did you feel?? do you feel good about yourself? The answer most likely is no and I am sure those broken promises lead to feelings of disappointment, humiliation. failure and even anger.
Its hard to love yourself when you keep letting yourself down. Do you think if you set more realistic goals and did them little by little you would begin to trust yourself? When you begin to trust yourself, you start to show up everyday confident and ready. The more we trust ourselves we will show up ready to defend & protect the trust we have built. You trust in yourself and already know you can do it. Trusting yourself is key for self love.
3.) Relax and give yourself some “ME Time” and do not forget to SET THE MOOD:
Light some candles, get your sage out and cleanse your bathroom. Having a soak in the bathtub with some essential oils is one of my personal favorite “pamper me time.”
Stop, Drop and Jump in tub for a experience that will de stress and detox you body and mind. Epsom salts have a high magnesium and sulfate content, which are beneficial for sore muscles. Lavender has been used for thousands of years and is known for its calming and relaxing properties on the mind and body. Eucalyptus is antibacterial and supports respiratory health. Detox baths are a great remedy for overall stress and tension.
What you need:
• 2 Cups of Epsom Salts
• 10 Drops of Lavender Oil
• 10 Drops of Eucalyptus Oil
• 2 Tbsp. of Dried Lavender Flower
What you do:
1. Mix together the Epsom salts, essential oils and dried lavender.
2. Pour 1 cup of the mixture into a warm bath and soak for at least 15-30 minutes.0
4.) Release Fear & negative Energy or Thoughts.
Did you ever wonder what was holding you back from self love? It all trickles back to fear. Fear is the opposite from love. Holding onto the past and times you have been hurt or everything didn’t go right. Release all of the energy and thoughts out of your aura and mind. A wonderful way to do this is EFT tapping and meditation and Shamanic therapy/journeying. Personally, with my journey to self love, I practiced all 3 types of practices. Shamanic Journeying in a group therapy setting has been a powerful source to heal and discover self-love.
5.) Protect yourself.
Bring the right people into your life. They say you are who you surround yourself with. I like to call them frenemies. These types of “friends” who take pleasure in your pain and loss rather than in your success and happiness. My recommendation to you here: Get rid of them and do it now! There isn’t enough time in your life to waste on people who want to dull your SPARKLE. Be mindful when these types of people try and come into your life.
